Why We Were Established
We started Founder1st to solve a pattern we saw repeatedly: strong businesses, led by capable founders, that were still valued as personal endeavors rather than institutions. The revenue was there. The talent was there. The opportunity was there. But the systems, governance, and commercial infrastructure were not — because the business had been built around the founder instead of around the market.
The firm takes a limited number of partnerships each quarter, by design. We do not staff engagements with junior teams or rotate account managers. We work inside the business with leadership teams, building the infrastructure that allows a company to scale, compound, and eventually transfer — without depending on any single person in the room.
Every engagement is measured against one question: is the business worth more, and more durably, than before we started. That is the standard that shapes how we select partners, how we design work, and how we define success.
